Tales from Digital Deliria: Invasion of Technology

I am very thankful for the introduction to my local writing group for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons that I got introduced to the blog, Tales from Digital Deliria. Carisa H-K walks readers through what it is like to have lived during the dawn of technological innovation and the amazing technology that has yet to come. You, the reader, just have to pick the time frame you want to dive into

Forensic Files: Mystery Solved

October makes me think of mysteries and detective tales. Maybe it is the approach of Halloween that brings it out. So to embrace the mystery and detective tales that come with the season, I have been binging Forensic Files Collection on Netflix.

Flash: The Greatest Superhero TV Show

There are a ton of superhero series. Some are good. Some are to never be mentioned or see the light of day again. One show rise to the top when it comes to superhero series for me though.

5 Reasons to Read The Power of Habit This Year

The Power of Habit has been circling around my to-read-next list. It has been on some of the top reading list and book clubs have been raving about it. I finally sat down and spent some time completing The Power of Habit. In my opinion, THIS BOOK IS FANTASTIC! If you haven’t picked up this book, you are missing out. I believe that everyone should read this book at some point in the new year. Why? I will give 5 simple reasons.

Wine Fraud: Conning the Bottle and the Drinker

I love a good glass of wine. A little bit of bubbly champagne or pinot noir and I am your girl. When listening to the Stuff You Should Know podcast while working out, I was intrigued that they were discussing one of my favorite dinner drink.

I had heard of wine fraud in the past. Thank you Leverage! However, I thought it only happened once in a blue moon and only with notable vintage wines.

Cells at Work: Science and fun!

Who said learning couldn’t be fun? Or at least fun to watch. I came across an anime that proves anime is more than just entertainment. The anime is called Cells at Work!

Watch the protagonist, the red blood cell, try to maneuver her way through the body and make her deliveries. She meets other entities in the body that are working to keep your body in working order. Each entity has a distinct personality and persona so it is dynamic to watch. It has the quirkiness of any other anime show that is true Japanese charm, but easy to go along with

Sleep Your Way to Better Health!

It seems like the easiest and obvious way to improve you health in the new year is by making sure you get your sleep. The kind of sleep that leaves you ready to conquer the day. When you can go all day with no naps. However, I can’t remember the number of times I have stared at my ceiling late at night trying to figure out why I can’t sleep. Who else is with me? So maybe it is the great first step toward having a healthier in a new year.

Go For The Greens: Building The Women of Tomorrow

The program is one of a kind. From the friendships you create to the empowering speakers that you hear. As someone who attended for two years, I can say that the results have been extraordinary. I have been able to achieve things such as securing an internship and graduating top of my class. There’s a new confidence and hope for the future that has been instilled me that I owe a lot of credit to the program for. It’s always an incredible experience coming back

Cold Case Files: Justice Found Years Later

Cold Case Files is a series built around the re-examination of long-unsolved crimes and the journeys of law enforcement personnel who reopened them. If you love true crime then you will love this show. I finished it in a week on one of my Netflix binges. It embodies the way investigations unravel with witnesses, new information, and science helping lead detectives in new directions. Directions that lead to the conviction of the perpetrators of those crimes. Crimes that had previously been unsolved for many years. The conviction of these criminals give the family the closure they seek and the community of the victims find peace at long last.
