I came across the Bao Buns recipe from the Little Fat Boy that was featured on King Arthur Baking Company’s page. I thought why not give it a try. I always think the homemade is better than the frozen. So here is how it went…..

Korean Street Eats: Snacks and Meals from Korea
A little gem in a strip tucked beside a busy road. A cute shop that sells bites from Korea. They have foods that are authentic and tasty. It is called Korean Street Eats. The menu is full of iconic sandwiches, rice bowls like kimchi fried rice, kimbap, fried street bites, and so much more.
Mini Cranberry Cheesecake Testing: The Endless Meal
The holidays may be over, but my freezer is still stuffed with holiday ingredients. I especially have a ton of cranberries. It still feels like winter outside so why not create winter/holiday treats. I browsed the internet for a sweet bite that used the ingredients I have. I came across a fun recipe for Cranberry and White Chocolate Mini-Cheesecakes by The Endless Meal.
Kurobuta: Bite from Korea
I love supporting local businesses as they help the economy. I recently came across this cute restaurant in my area owned by a local family that served up amazing ramen and comfort Asian food. This treasure was called Kurobuta and located in Carrollton, Texas. You can tell that you have arrived at the restaurant by the Japanese style awning if you have never been here before.
Le Bon Temps: New Orleans Treat in Dallas
New Orleans has some of the best food in the country, but not all treats can be remade outside the city. They are only good in NOLA. (It must be something in the water.) As mother’s side of the family is Cajun, I can attest to this as I grew up on it. One of the treats has recently been taken off the only can find good ones in New Orleans list. Which treat? It is Beignets.
Revisiting Pastry Love
Strawberries are the favorite berry of my dear friend. We will call him B. His poor birthday is in the middle of winter so not often he gets a cake that has his favorite berry. I wanted to give him a homemade present that was a strawberry cake for his birthday. I flipped through my cookbooks to find the perfect recipes. I found that recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks named Pastry Love.
Flavorful Origins: Exploring Cuisine From Your Couch
With travel on pause across the world, I have decided to try to explore the world via my comfy couch. I decided to watch different documentary series. Recently, it has been all about the food in the documentaries I have been watching. I love unique foods that come into our lives through various means. It is fun to question how did we start eating that weird shaped fruit, and who figured out how to grow it. I really got into Flavorful Origins on Netflix.
Revisiting Perfect Finish
Perfect Finish was a cookbook gifted to me by my family, and had many wonderful recipes that satisfied our sweet tooth. I ended up reviewing on my blog, but I haven’t used it much recently as I have been trying to work my way through other cookbooks I have borrowed. I recently revisited this cookbook on my shelf unexpectedly. I was trying to find a recipe that used cranberries, which I consider a flavor of the holidays.
Delicious Gifts: Red Pepper Chutney
I am the type of gift giver that tries to give personal gifts to friends and loved ones. This is usually in the form of tasty treats like cookies or jam (see my family recipe here). However, some people do not like sweets. I also get tired of making the same recipes over and over again.
I recently checked out Delicious Gifts by Jess McCloskey. It is a book filled with recipes for edible gifts that any amateur chef can complete.
The Great British Baking Show: Holiday Edition
I love baked goods. The sweet ones and the savory ones. You can never go wrong when your creation comes from the oven.
I love the holidays. The seasonal flavors. The celebrations. The gifts. What is not to love?
I also love The Great British Baking Show. It is one of my favorite shows.
So combine all those elements together and you get The Great British Baking Show: Holiday Edition, which you can binge on Netflix.
