Chef’s Table is one of my favorite documentary series. It gets to the core of the chefs behind some of the top restaurants around the world. The documentary series created a new spin off focusing on BBQ around the world. BBQ looks different in different parts of the world, but there is a common feature of fire. The people who master this type of cooking are often given the title of Pit-Master instead of Chef as they have a skill set that a Chef can’t match. Pit-Masters have an understanding of fire and food.
With fall around the corner, I thought a scare was a perfect way to welcome it. So perusing the selection of true crime shows on Netflix, I came across Nurses Who Kill.
We all love our cop and crime shows. However, I decided to watch a documentary series in Netflix this time instead of my usual fiction crime shows. The documentary was interestingly based on the criminals that tried to get away. Have you ever heard the saying “If you do the crime, expect to do the time”? Maybe these criminals should watch this series to figure out that they always pay in the end.
Photography is more than just a moment captured. The art side of photography is a complex calculation. Photography is about the light setting, subject, focus, and so much more. It may be hard to see if you have never tried your hand at trying to artistically photograph a subject. That is why I think the Netflix Series, Tales by Light, brings the world of photographers to the public.
If I told you that there was German Nazis that were hiding out in America from their past would you believe me? What if I told you it could be a local that you know and is beloved by family and friends alike? This would seem like the start of some mystery novel if this didn’t come true.
All over the world, humans believe in a variety of belief system. Each belief system has an over watching figure that guides our moral compasses and ways of life. God is defined by a variety of ways but the role God plays in our life doesn’t change. We seek God to help guide our actions and explain the unexplainable. Growing up, I went to church, temples, and other religious sites to look for God. Last year, I made the decision to start my awakening as a Buddhist as it was closer to how I see God in the world. When I started my journey on discovering my faith that there seems to be these underlying questions that each faith had answers for. The most shocking is that these answers that were given to me had many similar despite the obvious differences. I always wondered if I was the only one who asked these questions, and I recently found out.
