A little gem in a strip tucked beside a busy road. A cute shop that sells bites from Korea. They have foods that are authentic and tasty. It is called Korean Street Eats. The menu is full of iconic sandwiches, rice bowls like kimchi fried rice, kimbap, fried street bites, and so much more.

Enoki Beef: Japanese Beef Rolls
With lockdown in place, new cookbooks are out of reach. However, new recipes are not. I found was scrolling through Pinterest when I came across a new Japanese recipe, Enoki Beef Rolls.
Enoki Beef Rolls is thinly wrapped marinated beef that is around Enoki mushrooms. I served this dish with Vegetable Stir-Fry and Jasmine Rice for a twist on the usual weeknight dinner I make. I used the recipe for Enoki Beef Rolls by Wander Cooks, which you can find here.
Ista Indian: Butter Chicken Dreams
I am a huge fan of Butter Chicken. I could eat a whole pot by myself if no one was looking. I got hooked on the stuff in high school when my friend’s mom made it. However, I have no talent when it comes to trying to cook Indian food (tips would be appreciated). That is why I love finding good Indian food within the local community of Dallas. Here is a restaurant you need to add to your night-out list.
Fantastic Ideas in the Kitchen: O, The Oprah Magazine Cookbook
I love exploring new recipes and cookbooks. The good ideas can come from any where. A popular magazine to an innovative blogger. I recently came across a cookbook that had a variety of recipes from different influences and chefs. The recipes range from easy to make to hard. This cookbook is called O, The Oprah Magazine Cookbook. All the recipes featured are from various chefs that submitted these recipes to Oprah’s magazine. If the sign off from Oprah isn’t enough to convince you to give this cookbook a look, just spend a moment to flip through.
Pecan Lodge: The Best BBQ Ever
I am a BBQ snob. It may have to do with growing up in Texas, but I think it more has to do with being a foodie. It is hard to impress with me with subpar BBQ so when I say that this is the best BBQ ever, you can trust my words. Now if you have never heard of Pecan Lodge then I feel sorry for you. It has been in D magazines top 50 restaurants for many years, featured on Food Network, Dallas local legend, and much more.
Borgo San Jacopo: Michelin Star = Michelin Yum
When a restaurant is awarded a Michelin Star, it is considered one of the greatest achievements it can receive. Florence is home to a plethora of Michelin Star restaurants. In a city full of high quality restaurants, why wouldn’t you go try one out? So after searching for an opening, we were able to dine at Borgo San Jacopo.
Golden View Open Bar: Go for the View, Stay for the Food & Wine
Above the soft lulls of the river in Florence, there is a restaurant near Pointe Vecchio that has the most beautiful views of the river front. They have aptly named this restaurant and bar, Golden View Open Bar. If you have a dining table by the massive windows then you will be stunned by the setting sun and twinkling lights of the city. You can watch the steady stream of tourist and locals meander over the bridges that connect each river side to each other. The whole atmosphere is of peace and tranquility. I see why this was a strong recommendation from Giada De Laurentis. Now onto the food!
To Be Vegetarian or Not…?
I thought I would cross my fingers and try to transition more vegetarian recipes or less meat based recipes to my diet with the help of The Complete Vegetarian Cookbook from America’s Test Kitchen.
