I have recently have competed in several trails with my dog, Belle. It was super fun and tiring. We have won a few ribbons for some, and lost in others. I am happy to say despite that we are still trying to compete in some more. Though I did make a few rookie mistakes. I was a little under prepared for parts of the trails when I first started competing. When I talked to the veterans of the sport, I found that I wasn’t the first amateur to make this mistake. Hence, I decided to share my experience on my blog and how to avoid the mistakes I made.
Food is not meant to be boring? Recipes and taste change from the drab forms of feasts from former years. They evolved into the things we know and love today. The evolution of culinary cuisine requires one to be crazy and the food to be delicious. Netflix decided to take this concept and make a cooking show around it.
Agility is one of the greatest dog sports that you can join in. I was so excited to complete our first AKC agility trail after a year of training at What A Great Dog! It can be confusing trying to figure out all the procedures and processes at your first trail. So I compiled a list of FAQs I had and I was thankful someone told me about when I was at the trail.
The world of fashion is full of color, sparkles, and gems. Making it big in fashion is a different story. It is not sparkly. It is hard to be on the cutting edge of creativity while running a business. Plus fashion does more than look pretty. It tells a story changes the outlook of the wearer. It makes a statement.
Fashion can be the everyday street wear of our normal lives to the red carpet looks at award shows that we see every season. It is versatile and comes in many forms. I don’t understand all of it, but can appreciate the time and effort it takes to produce. So when the show Next in Fashion dropped on Netflix, I was fascinated.
Dessert is supposed to be just a sweet treat, but what if someone could change that treat into a work of art? Would you eat it? I think I would.
On Netflix, there is a wonderful cooking competition show called Zumbo’s Just Dessert. In this show art meets food. In Zumbo’s factory, contestants from Australia and New Zealand try to impress dessert chefs Rachel Khoo and the man himself, Zumbo.
If you have followed me over the past year, then you know I love the show The Great British Baking Show. So, it would come as no surprise that I recently binged the American holiday version called The Great American Baking Show that was produced by ABC. And it was amazing!
Back in 2018, I questioned if Great British Baking Show would survive not only the change in cast but keeping the show fresh. I am happy to announce that Paul and Prue are back in a new season on Netflix. Sandy and Noel are MC-ing it all and 13 more bakers are in the tent. There is currently 6 episodes of the new season have been released for your viewing pleasure. I have the dates of the for the release of each episode marked on my calendar because I am at the edge of my seating waiting for each episode. I love it because the show is my little ray of sunshine on Fridays that offer some easy-going entertainment without the intensity of American competition shows.
I am a big TV watcher and a big foodie. So the shows that you can typically find me watching are cooking shows or food competition shows. It is a staple of late night watching or late Sundays mornings. I have watched so many that I find myself talking to the TV about what I would have done and/or correcting the competitors. I mean it looks easy enough on my TV screen. I think anyone in my family could give those guys a run for their money especially in something we do everyday. Well, Netflix decided to test home cooks against top restaurant chefs in Australia.
There are many different kinds of dog sports out there from obedience trails, dock diving, and so much more. I recently picked up dog agility as a sport to help my dog, Belle, use up her excess energy. What I found surprising was the community that I found surrounding those participating in the sport as well as the benefits that owner and dog could receive from practicing agility.
