The holidays may be over, but my freezer is still stuffed with holiday ingredients. I especially have a ton of cranberries. It still feels like winter outside so why not create winter/holiday treats. I browsed the internet for a sweet bite that used the ingredients I have. I came across a fun recipe for Cranberry and White Chocolate Mini-Cheesecakes by The Endless Meal.

Sometimes, I love a different take on the afternoon snack. Sometimes, I want sweet. Sometimes, I want salty. You never know what you could be craving, but what if there was one little Chinese inspired cookie that could be the salty and sweet bite you need in the afternoon? I came across this interesting recipe on Bake for Happy Kids called Melt-in-your-mouth Pork Floss Chinese Cookies. It is a one of a kind recipe that I just had to try.
I was recently looking for a sweet treat that was familiar yet unusual enough to impress family and friends. I also wanted to do something a little unusual than the standard American dessert. It is not dissimilar from Japanese Milk Pudding, but slightly different. So with a plan in place, I used the Purin Recipe from Contemplating Sweets. Want to know how it went?

There is one treat that I haven’t come across in the United States as often as I did in Japan. What is it? It is called Milk Pudding. In Japan, this can be found in any connivence store on any street. In the United States, you have to scour the shelves of the local asian market and pray that they have it. If you aren’t familiar with milk pudding, you are missing out on a delicacy.
Over Instagram and Pinterest, you can find hundreds of cakes decorated with the trendy chocolate drip. The drip can be any color or made from either dark or white chocolate. I decided to try my hand at this trendy decoration with a birthday cake I made recently. I went with a dark chocolate drip and used this blog post to help create it.
