Photography is more than just a moment captured. The art side of photography is a complex calculation. Photography is about the light setting, subject, focus, and so much more. It may be hard to see if you have never tried your hand at trying to artistically photograph a subject. That is why I think the Netflix Series, Tales by Light, brings the world of photographers to the public.
Man discovered fire, and it changed the world. It allowed the art of the cooking was born shortly afterwards.
What would you do if you met the Devil in the city of Los Angeles?
What would he look like?
What would you do?
Don’t worry you may get to meet him in Netflix’s Lucifer.
Typically if I heard the name GOOP. I would think of some slimy greenish blob that holds no appeal. However, GOOP now refers to the Netflix series with Gwyneth Paltrow. If you aren’t familiar with Gwyneth Paltrow is a celebrity turn lifestyle guru. I originally had no interest in this show. I think the lifestyle she promotes is a little outrageous. The trailer held about zero appeal to me. I only got intrigued to watch it after Stephen Colbert took a swing at the show and brand. He was on fire and his lines were so funny! So down the rabbit hole I went, I watched the first season of The GOOP Lab.
I am in love with the show, Miraculous Ladybug. I reviewed the show overall last year, but have recently sat down to review the newest season to see what the creators have done. So here are my 5 thoughts on the newest season released on Netflix:
If I told you that there was German Nazis that were hiding out in America from their past would you believe me? What if I told you it could be a local that you know and is beloved by family and friends alike? This would seem like the start of some mystery novel if this didn’t come true.
The world of fashion is full of color, sparkles, and gems. Making it big in fashion is a different story. It is not sparkly. It is hard to be on the cutting edge of creativity while running a business. Plus fashion does more than look pretty. It tells a story changes the outlook of the wearer. It makes a statement.
Fashion can be the everyday street wear of our normal lives to the red carpet looks at award shows that we see every season. It is versatile and comes in many forms. I don’t understand all of it, but can appreciate the time and effort it takes to produce. So when the show Next in Fashion dropped on Netflix, I was fascinated.
This fictional show takes place deep in the heart of modern Tokyo. The diner is located off a quiet road from the hustle of city goers heading home with a traditional look on the inside and outside. Here in this little diner made up of a counter bar with stools along the edges. The owner runs the restaurant by making anything his customers ask as long as he has the ingredients. His colorful customers have a variety of dishes that they ask for, and each a different reason why they do it.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I decided to cover a beloved romance series that I have read but now I can say I have watched as well. The romance series that I am discussing is the Outlander series. (If you remember I had covered the book in an earlier post, Outlander: Take off the shelf or beloved series?) Thanks to Netflix, I have watched all the latest episodes of Outlander, the TV series, and can now compare the show to the book.
The best way to describe manga is the Japanese version of comic books. They come from all different genres. It can be dark or playful. I was first introduced to this style of story telling in middle school with the series, Fruits Basket. (I think everyone remembers their first fondly.) I reminisced on this series when I saw a news article talking about an animation company trying to reboot the series into a modern version. It brought back memories of the story that I followed for so long.
