In the spirit of NaNoWriMo, I knew there had to be other opportunities to practice writing outside of writing a novel. For example, I pursue my writing aspirations on my blog site here. I have entered writing competitions for literary magazines as well. I haven’t made a single cent, but it keeps me happy. So there had to be more opportunities out there. Then I came across Writing for Quick Cash by Loriann Hoff Oberlin.
Loriann Hoff Oberlin talks about the need to of writing by answering the simple questions of: who, what, when, where, and why does this matter. She then explores the whole range of opportunities that she came across in her writing career. She talks about writing recipes for cash. She even suggest making greeting cards. The opportunities are endless. If you want to pursue writing without writing a novel, I suggest using Writing for Quick Cash by Loriann Hoff Oberlin to give you a good starting point that are outside the norm.
