You have seen her on TV. She has promoted numerous Food Network programs. She has written more than one cookbook as well. Her name is Giada De Laurentiis. I have tried several of her recipes from online, but this was the first time I have tried recipes she has published in her cookbook. I recently got ahold of a copy of Giada’s Feel Good Food, and was very excited to try the recipes. Was her cookbook good? Why not take a look?
The first recipe that I tried was Tzaiski Salmon. I loved the bright flavors of the tzazki sauce paired with the simply clean taste of the salmon. It was a satisfying meal for any week night dinner that the whole family could get behind. Just take a look at my creation of this recipe!
The second recipe that I put together was more on the snack category. It was a Vanilla, Almond, Date Smoothie. I loved the simple sweet taste that was satisfying to drink. I think this would be perfect for the upcoming summer heat. I will be making this recipe again and again.
The third recipe that I tried was the Baked Fruit with Ricotta. This recipe was jammed packed with flavorful fruit and powerful spices. It was juicy and flavorful. However, I was not a fan of the fruit when it was topped with ricotta. It was a complete texture clash. I think I will keep the recipe of the baked fruit just remove the ricotta.
I think I am going to reference more recipes out of this cookbook. What are you going to try?
