Need I say more?
The only down side to a German Chocolate Cake is that the thick chunky icing doesn’t allow you to create the beautiful cake trends that you see online. I have come up with the solution for decorating a cake with chunky icing. My solution is very simple and anyone can do it. Have you ever made simple chocolate decorations? It is so easy.
Step 1: Pick a design for your chocolate and print it out. Google pipping designs and you will hit the mother load.
Step 2: Take design and place under wax or parchment paper. Make sure shiny side is up.
Step 3: Melt your chocolate pieces (the good baking kind). I find it easiest to melt the chocolate in in a microwave bowl stirring the chocolate after intervals of 30 seconds cooking in the microwave until you reach liquid state.
Step 4: Take melted chocolate either brush or pipe your design onto the parchment or wax paper.
Step 5: Let chocolate design set up. Should take about 2-3 minutes.
Step 6: Use angled spatula or another tool to remove designs from paper.
Step 7: Top cake with design by just placing or with a touch of icing.
