Language of Transformation: Oprah Edition

This is my year that I have been focused on transforming myself into a happier and healthier version of myself. One way I hope to do that is through changing the way I speak about myself. It seems like an easy goal for the new year, but it is hard. I know that I am not alone on this goal when I cam across Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations with Bishop T.D. Jakes. And you know that if Oprah promotes it then it is going to be amazing.

I like this talk because he doesn’t focus on reciting bible verse or giving a religious sermon. He talked about the revelation he had. He realized that he had to change the way he spoke about himself. Life was not going to embrace him if he did not love himself first. He had to remove the pain and negative narrative. He had to include in his narrative the promise of what he brings in the future and his positive attributes. Audience members chime in with their own experience with the changing of their narrative.

It was a beautiful episode and really helps me feel like I can embrace the language of transformation. I even believe that you can do it too. Do you want to try?
