The month of October has started and Halloween is around the corner. I have watched each house in the neighbor start the slow crawl of decorating their yards with scary sights to frighten future trick or treaters. However, there is one more way to get ready for a Spook-tacular Halloween. How about a Halloween movie marathon?

If I was going to do a Halloween marathon, I would not include slasher or horror films since I am terrified of them. I would be happy to never watch a horror film again if I am completely honest. The movies listed below are the ones I would include in my Halloween movie marathon minus the horror flicks:

1. Casper

Casper is a fantastical ghost story that the entire family will love.

2. Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus has become a pop culture icon, so you should watch it just for that reason.

3. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

Maybe it’s the nostalgia factor of this movie, but it is a childhood favorite.

4. Corpse Bride

I love a good Tim Burton film. His whimsical style and the fantastic tale told in this film can’t be beaten.

5. The Addams Family

Another pop culture icon movie that is a must watch.
